P.S.......I love you

Can someone please hand me the Kleenex???

Kenny and I went to see P.S. I Love You tonight and I already can't wait to see it again.

(And to settle anyone's curiosity: I did NOT drag him to see the movie, nor did I bribe him in any way. I simply said I wanted to see it and he willingly obliged. As a side note to this, read this article about men not actually hating 'chick flicks'. Interesting, no?)

Now, back to the movie. I was actually very adamant about NOT wanting to watch this, mostly because I don't like watching movies I've read the book to (with the exception of The Notebook, DaVinci Code and the soon to be Angels and Demons). I read the book while I was living in England (3 years ago) and I remember practically sobbing through it and not being able to put it down. When I heard they were coming out with a movie I found my copy of the book and started reading it again. Turns out I never got around to finishing the second chapter because I just got busy.

Ah, this movie had all the makings of a great chick flick. I will most likely watch this again in the theater and buy it when it comes out on video.

I'm very, very tired now, so instead of rambling on about this I'm going to sleep.

Happy Winter

It's snowing right now and that makes me happy :) When I was driving to work this morning everything around me reminded me of England for some reason. I think it's mostly because the sky was completely gray and it's cold. It clearly doesn't take much to make me think of England! It doesn't hurt that I'm sipping on my London Fog from Satellite to put me in the mood. Ah, winter!

Dessert Oasis

Hi. I'm Jessica and I have a problem. I'd like to call it a cupcake problem. I love them. I'm not a huge fan of cake in general because it's usually too sweet for my tooth's desire. Cupcakes, on the other hand, are small enough and have the perfect amount of sweetness to make me smile.

There's a place in town that fills my need with yummy flavors every day of the week. It's called Cake Fetish and coming next Monday it'll be within eye sight from where I am currently sitting. I can't exactly express the happiness I'm feeling right now. It means that Cafe Ole and Velvet Elvis will literally be at my beckon call. Ah. Bliss. Downtown bliss.

Woot! Woot!

Wait. Apparently I just spelled "woot" wrong. According to Webster's Dictionary It should be spelled with zeros (00) instead of the letter "O," which is something I'm not ok with. In fact. I refuse to spell "woot" with zeros. Sorry, Webster's Dictionary, but I will be spelling that word wrong.

Wow. What else can i talk about today? So many exciting things! Cupcakes, woots, snow dusting the Sandia mountains and my boyfriend coming home next week. This is a fabulous time!

Woot. Woot!

rant

I'd like to vent about traffic etiquette. If you are driving on the highway and notice a car is getting on from the on ramp, move to the next lane. It's just nice. Nobody wants to ride in the far right lane; the purpose of an 'on ramp' is to get ON the freeway.

Next. If you see someone with a blinker trying to get in your lane, SLOW DOWN AND LET THEM IN. Yes, I'm yelling. It seems that yelling may be the only way to make sure people understand this one. Ok, so I can hear what you're going to say next. "But, I didn't see their blinker on." Fine. Perhaps you were driving so fast and being such a bad driver that you're not noticing other cars around you. Did you happen to notice them when they were literally coming into your lane? No? Oh, I see. You're going to be THAT jerk that doesn't let somebody in. Well, guess what, I'm going into your lane whether you like it or not. HA. I appreciate the way you sped up right as I was going over too, that was really kind of you.

People need to know that during rush hour you're not the only person on the road, and contrary to what you may think, the road does not belong to you.
